- HRH The Prince of Wales’ ‘Carpet Garden’ at the Chelsea Flower Show, 2001, (awarded silver-gilt medal): assistant to the designer, Michael Miller, and working in conjunction with The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts. The garden was based on a traditional ‘four-fold’ Islamic garden and, after the Show, was transported to Highgrove where, after a few alterations, it continues to mature and flourish as a secluded garden behind high walls. - Landscape design for area including car-park and Islamic garden surrounding the Shah Jahan Mosque, Woking, Surrey, the oldest purpose-built mosque in the U.K., part executed 2002-03
- Consultant on the landscaping of the ‘Gardens of Peace’, a large Muslim Cemetery in north-east London, executed 2000-2004
- Design for private Islamic garden in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, executed 2003

- Designed Islamic-inspired courtyard for St. Michael’s Primary School, Marston, Oxford, in association with The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, executed 2004
- Consultant on an Islamic educational garden project for Ashmole Primary School, South London, in collaboration with the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts, 2005

- 2006-2013, consultant on several Islamic-inspired gardens including:
- A private villa in Maadi, Cairo
- A large landscaping project involving an Islamic garden for a new Muslim Cultural Centre in Manchester, (See Current Design Projects)
- A large public Islamic garden and landscaping project in Lahore, Pakistan, 2007- .
- An Islamic/Mediterranean walled garden for a private villa, Ibiza, Spain, 2007-2009 (See Publications, Cover image of The Art of the Islamic Garden)
- Consultant to Dr. Ali Allawi, former Finance Minister in the Government of Iraq (resigned 2006) regarding the possibility of establishing a charitable foundation for the design and construction of Islamic Gardens in the U.K. and abroad. Executed in a contemporary context the aim is that the gardens will not only be peaceful sanctuaries but also symbols of hope and vehicles of ‘bridge-building’ between cultures and faiths.
- Consultant to Foster and Partners, London, on a large architectural and landscaping project on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi
- Specialist Mediterranean and Islamic planting and design consultant for several private gardens in London and the south-east of England
- The new Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, Marston, Oxford. One of the principal members of the design team for the central Islamic garden 2007-2009
- Design for private garden, Islington, London, executed 2007
- Design for an inter-faith ‘Abrahamic’ garden at the church of St. Nicholas Cole Abbey in the City of London,working with the charity REEP (Religious Education through the Environment Programme), 2007
- ISLAMEXPO 2008: in collaboration with the charity REEP (Religious Education through the Environment Programme) designed and project-managed the Islamic Garden in the centre of ISLAMEXPO, Olympia, London, July 2008. (View project gallery)
